The People
Built by many. Belonging to all.
ROTP is a collective — not a singular vision, but a shared one. Here are the people helping shape this work.
Founders
The founding team.
Three practitioners, organizers, and visionaries who brought ROTP from dream to reality.
Founder & Executive Director
Janū Sung
Janū is a Seattle-based dancer, educator, and organizer whose background bridges Club and Street Dance culture, meditation, martial arts, and Eastern philosophical traditions.
The initial vision for ROTP was developed by Janū — a vision that has continued to expand through collaboration, dialogue, and the contributions of the broader community helping shape the work forward.
Janū also brings a technical background in software development, which grounds ROTP's infrastructure and systems in practical rigor alongside its creative spirit.
Director of Somatic Programming
Elia
Elia brings extensive experience and deep certification in somatic practice to ROTP's programming direction. Their background in Universal Healing Tao and Body-Mind Centering forms the foundation of ROTP's embodied, contemplative offerings.
As Director of Somatic Programming, Elia shapes the quality, integrity, and depth of every movement experience ROTP creates — ensuring that what we offer is not just fun, but genuinely transformative.
Co-Founder
Orb
A founding member of the ROTP collective, Orb brings their unique perspective, lived experience, and creative contributions to the ongoing development of ROTP's vision, programming, and community.
More on Orb's background and role coming soon.
